Ecotherapy & Nature-Therapy

Training Retreat

February - 07 to 09, 2025 | Foster, Quebec

Reconnect with nature and yourself!

Join us for one of the only in-person nature-based therapy training opportunities available in Canada to learn new innovative and fulfilling skills while enjoying the benefits of nature on mental health.

Learn and Relax

Integrating nature-based therapy techniques offers useful tools to apply in your practice. Participants will gain a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of ecotherapy, ecopsychology, and nature-based therapeutic techniques to use alongside other established approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In turn, we can better guide others to naturally connect with their ability for psychological flexibility and enhance well-being.

Therapists and other professionals can also harvest many of the positive effects of time spent in nature and diversify their experience as a clinician. This experience allows you the physical and mental space to process and practice what you’ve learned in a beautifully natural all-inclusive setting, temporarily disconnected from the extra distractions of day-to-day life, benefitting your own health and presence in the process.

This training is offered in English and French.

About Your Guide

I’m Moire (pronounced Moy-ra). I have always been curious about the natural world and the human mind. In 2021, I combined these interests by creating Mindfulness Outdoors, our wellness-based outdoors program.

I am passionate about helping everyone live a fulfilling life! To date, I have hosted over a hundred nature-supported training events connecting thousands of participants to nature as a means to mental health and wellbeing.

A clinical psychologist for almost a decade, I am the Founder and Director of the Stevenson Psychology clinic in Montreal. We specialize in therapy, counselling, and assessments and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, burn-out, grief, and ADHD. I also work as a Pediatric Psychologist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital

I received my PhD in clinical psychology research and intervention from University of Montreal in 2015. Prior to that, I completed a combined honours degree in Biology and Biochemistry at Dalhousie University. With this unique perspective, I utilize aspects of ecopsychology to enhance the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and encourage experiential practice.

I am a recognized clinical supervisor with the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec and I run several training programs that are accredited by various organizations, including the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec, Canadian Psychological Association and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
